lyrics
Rooting from the sky
Heading to the ground
Erase the memories
With new colors in the eyes
Can you see the mountains
Setting up your home
Can you feel the wind
Involving your bones
No way to evade the circle
Now stop looking up
Look around try to understand
The ignorance will be fine just for a while
Melting each day
Under a burning sun
Drying oceans and barren lands
You are opening new eyes
To the sunlight but turning blind
You're crying out a new voice
To the big cliffs but turning dumb
Push your fingers out
Of the hole, holding hope
Hooking the head
Upon the light life rope
No way to evade the circle

Gaerea's first release of "Unsettling Whispers" was in 2018, and since, they dared define a "black metal" niche of their own, they dared to walk a new path and stir shit up a bit in the realm of BM, this album is a masterpiece and a milestone proving that it can be done, provided the band can pull it off, and they did, oh they did! Gloomy, dark, post-BM sludgy whatever, it's Gaerea, and this one belongs in my BC collection, the end. sachavonkarl74
This album is an absolute banger. The riffs are especially groovy this time, the vocals are amazing, and the overall thing is supercatchy. If I'd have to list one downside, it's that the mix is so bass-heavy that the sound only truely comes into it's right when listened on good headphones or extremely good speakers. On anything less it can sound like the bass drowns the rest of the music out. 9/10 Buzzario
Former members of the great band SubRosa return as The Otolith, and their debut LP finds them at the peak of their mighty powers. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 24, 2022
An absolutely amazing album that reaches you to the bottom of the abyss. Gaia takes you by the hand, tells you that you're not alone in this, the pain is over, the misunderstanding of your pain is over and accompanied by keyboards, violins, acoustic guitars, cello and amazing vocals, she pulls you out of the disgusting mire of your mind and together you embark on a journey of melancholy, despondency, hope, pessimism and the seasons. tenebriscaedes
